Taedara began with a problem I had stopped expecting skincare to solve.

For years, the skin beneath my beard was prone to dryness and flaking. Products designed to help one problem often seemed to create another. Shampoos left my skin feeling stripped. Styling products could make things worse. Beard oils were usually blends of several heavy plant oils, and none of them gave me the balance I was looking for.

So I started making my own.

That led me to refined tallow, modern cosmetic ingredients, and a different way of thinking about formulation: every ingredient should earn its place. Ingredients chosen intentionally, at meaningful levels, with equal attention paid to how a product feels on the skin.

The first formulas were tested by our family. The creams, balms and styling products slowly became the products sitting on our own bathroom counters.

That is still the standard.
